Manitoba has invited 276 candidates to apply for Canadian immigration through its latest Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw held on December 27, 2024. The draw targeted skilled workers currently employed in the province and aimed to address specific labor market needs.
The Skilled Worker in Manitoba stream issued 239 invitations under the general selection process.
To qualify, candidates required a minimum ranking score of 857. An additional 18 invitations were issued to candidates in select healthcare and transportation occupations.
These included specialists in surgery, family physicians, registered nurses, nurse practitioners, and transit operators.
A separate group of 19 invitations went to candidates currently employed as restaurant and food service managers under NOC 60030. The minimum ranking score for this category was 632.
This draw reflects Manitoba’s continuous efforts to prioritize skilled professionals who are already contributing to the local economy. The province also issued invitations to 56 candidates with valid Express Entry IDs and job seeker validation codes.
The Skilled Worker in Manitoba stream has two key pathways for those working there. The Manitoba Work Experience Pathway is for individuals already employed in Manitoba or international graduates holding temporary permits.
The Employer Direct Recruitment Pathway is designed for those with job offers from approved Manitoba employers while residing overseas.
The Skilled Worker Overseas stream targets individuals outside Canada with skills in Manitoba’s in-demand occupations. This stream includes the Manitoba Express Entry Pathway for candidates meeting Express Entry criteria and having ties to the province.
The Human Capital Pathway targets workers with relevant experience and potential to secure employment upon arrival.
The International Education Stream focuses on retaining graduates from Manitoba’s institutions. The Career Employment Pathway is for graduates with job offers in in-demand occupations.
The Graduate Internship Pathway applies to Masters and Doctoral graduates who have completed internships. The Student Entrepreneur Pathway is for graduates who have operated a business in Manitoba for at least six months.
This latest draw demonstrates Manitoba’s ongoing commitment to meeting labor demands and attracting skilled workers to support the province’s economic growth.
