On March 21, 2025, the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) conducted draws under two streams:
- Skilled Worker in Manitoba Stream: Issued 101 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) to candidates with a minimum score of 844. Eligibility required candidates or their spouses to have completed post-secondary education in Manitoba, with supporting documents such as diplomas and transcripts.
- Skilled Worker Overseas Stream: Issued 7 LAAs to candidates under a Strategic Recruitment Initiative, with a minimum score of 705.
Of the 108 total LAAs issued, 23 were to candidates with valid Express Entry profiles and job seeker validation codes.
In the Northwest Territories, the Northwest Territories Nominee Program (NTNP) closed its application intake on March 6, 2025, after reaching its nomination allocation. The NTNP selected 90 applications at random and notified the applicants via email. Unselected applications will remain in the intake queue until December 12, 2025. If an application is denied or withdrawn, another will be selected from the queue for assessment.
The NTNP’s nomination allocation for 2025 is 150. The program is processing 60 applications carried over from 2024, along with the newly selected 90 applications, to meet this allocation.
These developments reflect the ongoing adjustments in Canada’s Provincial Nominee Programs to align with federal immigration targets and address regional labor market needs.
