Canada to Open 2025 Intake for Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship Program

Canada has announced the reopening of the Parents and Grandparents Program (PGP) for the 2025 intake, offering Canadian citizens and permanent residents the opportunity to reunite with their loved ones. The program allows eligible individuals to sponsor their parents and grandparents for permanent residence in Canada.

Invitations to apply will be sent to randomly selected sponsors from the existing pool of interest submitted in previous years. Those who receive invitations will be able to submit a complete application within a designated timeframe.

The program emphasizes family reunification, a key priority of Canada’s immigration system. Sponsors must meet specific income requirements and sign an undertaking to support their relatives financially, ensuring they do not require social assistance.

This intake presents a vital chance for families to come together and build a life in Canada, contributing to the country’s social and cultural fabric. Applicants are encouraged to review the eligibility criteria thoroughly and prepare their documents in advance.
