Manitoba has issued 128 invitations to skilled workers living abroad through the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP). This latest Expression of Interest draw took place on January 23, 2025.
Candidates were invited under the Skilled Worker Overseas stream. The minimum required score was 609. The draw focused on a strategic recruitment initiative to fill specific employment needs in the province.
Of the total invitations, 22 were extended to candidates with a valid Express Entry profile and job seeker validation code.
The Skilled Worker Overseas stream offers targeted immigration pathways for individuals with the skills and experience needed in Manitoba’s labor market. It includes two routes.
The Manitoba Express Entry Pathway is available for candidates who meet the criteria of another MPNP stream and possess skills in high-demand occupations. Applicants must also have close family ties to the province.
The Human Capital Pathway focuses on skilled workers with experience in in-demand occupations. It highlights their potential to secure employment upon arrival in Manitoba.
The draw also signals opportunities for other skilled worker pathways within the province. The Skilled Worker in Manitoba stream is available for candidates currently employed in Manitoba or those with job offers from approved local employers.
This stream includes two options. The Manitoba Work Experience Pathway targets those working in Manitoba, including international graduates. The Employer Direct Recruitment Pathway is for overseas candidates with job offers from approved employers in the province.
Manitoba continues to support education and innovation through its International Education Stream. It offers three pathways for graduates of Manitoba institutions.
The Career Employment Pathway requires graduates to have a job offer in an in-demand occupation. The Graduate Internship Pathway is designed for those completing internships through Mitacs Accelerate or Elevate programs. The Student Entrepreneur Pathway allows graduates who have operated a business in Manitoba to apply without specific net worth requirements.
Manitoba’s latest draw reaffirms its commitment to attracting skilled workers and supporting long-term growth through targeted immigration pathways.
