The EI Base Stream is designed for entrepreneurs aiming to establish or acquire businesses in urban areas of British Columbia, offering flexibility in business location and type. In contrast, the EI Regional Stream targets entrepreneurs interested in launching new businesses in smaller, rural communities, requiring a community referral and an exploratory visit to the proposed location.

Throughout 2025, the BC PNP has maintained a steady pace in its Entrepreneur Immigration draws, with eight nomination selections conducted so far.
